If you are looking for property that does not need major work, then there is a good selection of houses built in any period up to the present day in typical Breton styles, and some of modern design. Alternatively there are some beautifully converted traditional rural properties on the market, mostly in the middle to higher price ranges.

There are also properties such as the traditional Breton manor houses or farm complexes which can be ideal as larger permanent homes or holiday houses, for gites or as bed and breakfast businesses. For those who want to run a gites, cafe or bar business, check our commercial property page, where you might find just the opportunity you are looking for.

At the top of the range, there is a small selection of 'prestige properties'. If you want to live near the sea, try the coastal property section. House prices are higher on the coast, but there are still reasonably-priced properties to be found in inland areas, which are never far from the beautiful Brittany beaches.

There are two sections for renovation properties, one over and one under 100,000 euros. The cheapest are selling fast, so do consider looking at renovation property over 100,000 euros, which includes part-renovated properties such as farm complexes that may have a renovated Breton longere farmhouse, plus other buildings for conversion to gites, or for use as stables, studios or craft workshops. We have now added a new section for commercial and business properties, which includes shops, restaurants and properties divided into apartments.

We now also have a section for properties for sale by their owners. These properties are located outside the area usually covered by Maisonsbretonnes, offered for sale privately, not through the estate agency.

Finding your way around the website

Properties for sale are arranged in price bands, usually with several pages in each band. There are separate categories as well for buyers of commercial or coastal property. The Brittany property navigation bar is at the bottom of each page.

Viewing properties in Brittany

If you see one or more properties that you are interested in, please contact us and we will arrange viewings for you in Brittany. We advise that you do not try to see too many properties each day. Allow for travel time, and ensure that you have time to make a good assessment of each property. It is also a good idea to have a look around the area where you are in which the houses you like most are located. After all, you will be living there as well as in the house itself.
