The quiet Breton village of Langonnet (in Morbihan) is about 1.5 hours drive from Roscoff (port), and 2 hours from St Malo. The village offers bank, shops and post office. Gourin is the nearest town, with a weekly market. The surrounding countryside of hills and streams offers walks, fishing, cycling and other rural activities. The nearby Abbeye Notre-Dame is a retreat, but also has an African Museum.
